Aunque no lo crean, es más importante de lo que creemos.
Difícil imaginar para alguien de mi edad no hacerlo, pero va más allá. Nosotros no crecimos con las tecnologías actuales, ni celulares, ni computadoras, ni nada de eso. Con decirles que nos ponían a hacer páginas completas de caligrafía para mejorar la letra, y no se concebía la escuela sin el cuaderno, el lápiz y el borrador.
Mi pasado fue sin duda maravilloso. No se extraña lo que no se conoce, pero disfruto muchísimo ahora, los celulares, las computadoras, el corrector automático, las sugerencias y como todos, las redes sociales. Es más, no sé qué haría sin todo eso.
Pero cuando quiero escribir para ustedes o cuando quiero plasmar una idea, o hacer algún trabajo que me encargan, es imposible sin tomar una pluma o lápiz y un cuaderno, una hoja o un pedazo de papel.
Enfrentarse con una hoja en blanco y empezar a trazar pensamientos que se convierten en palabras, tachar, subrayar o volverlo a hacer rompiendo la hoja es sensacional.
Escribir a mano nos permite, más bien, nos obliga a abstraernos de la vida vertiginosa en la que vivimos y hacer una pausa.
Escribir a mano, es como decía alguien, es un acto de sana rebelión. Cualquier cosa que nos haga detenernos un poco es buena para la salud.
Independizarse del celular un rato, de la computadora un rato, nos permite soñar, inventar, conectarnos con nosotros mismos, con los demás. Nos obliga a pensar, a reflexionar, requiere tiempo y esmero, concentración y mucha paciencia.
Escribamos cartas, listas de tareas, contemos una parte de nuestra historia, lo que sea.
Tomemos un lápiz, una pluma y enfrentemos el reto de escribir a mano, verán que será formidable.
